My friend Akiko and I visit Taiwan for Chinese New Year 2002. Akiko taught Japanese in Beijing at the university where I taught English. Pictured here hiking in the mountains near Taipei Zoo are my friend Linda Arrigo, Akiko and I with an unknown reporter from Next Magazine. According to her, Next wanted to follow Linda around for a special report on the environmental movement in Taiwan -- uhuh?! Last I heard, Next was only interested in moves that happen in hotels or yellow KTVs.
